Was there some thing in the air last month, because I noticed a lot of my favorite bloggers weren't blogging as much as usual and as you all may have noticed neither was I. I explained to you part of the reason here, but there was actually another part to it that I did not share. Look, before I go into this I just want to say that I am not looking for any sympathy and I am not whining. I figured that this is something I should share in hopes that may be I can help someone else at some point. (Deep Breath) Here we go...
I named this blog the Evolution of Tsiporah, because I finally thought that I was past a very dark period in my life and I was ready to start really living my life. I had such high hopes in the beginning of the year I was going to write down my goals, and start conquering them one by one. Well things started out great and I was really working things out I registered for the spring semester at my college, I started going to the gym 3 or 4 times a week, work was...well work was work, but at least I have job. I was slowly, but surely starting to chip away at all the things that I have always wanted to do, but couldn't. The reason why I couldn't was because I was pretty much stuck and trapped in a prison of my own making.
You see I have been battling depression for most of my life and to be honest I can not even tell you the last time I felt really happy or joyful just being alive. There are times when my depression is worse then others like here, but I would say 75% of the time I am just very sad, very joyless and wishing...no praying to die. I know, I know that depression is a word that gets thrown around a lot now days, and every body gets depressed now and again, but the difference is most people usually come out of it after a while either all by themselves or with therapy or medicine. I have tried all of that, but nothing seems to work long term with me. I thought I had finally had it beat, but then it reared its ugly head again and I have been going down hill ever since.
I don't know...maybe there is no cure for my type of depression...maybe I will have to struggle with it for the rest of my life. The thing is I am just TIRED of the struggle and last week it all came to a head, because I just broke down and started bawling for no reason and then I had these awful thoughts that I am going to decline to share, but they were not good. I am just soooooo TIRED of feeling like this...when I just didn't care it was fine...you know? But now that I actually want to LIVE life and not just exist I am struggling every day and it is HARD. I was starting to think the fight just wasn't worth it and to just give up!!! I am tired of having this same battle with myself. I. AM. TIRED. and I. AM. FED. UP. I can't really enjoy my life and reach my goals when I don't have the energy, because of this up hill climb I have EVERY SINGLE DAY just to will myself to care is wearing me out. I am literally fighting for my life, because...if things don't get better I am afraid I might not make it.
I am not a well person and I am going to get help again. Please don't worry though because for now I am going to continue to fight the good fight. Just please pray for me and if you don't pray just send some positive energy my way. This is my war to fight and I intend to win!! The name of my blog has taken on a whole new meaning to me…sigh.
